Parker's Crossroads, Tennessee

Parker's Crossroads, Tennessee was named after
Reverend John Parker, who lived in the
community prior to the Civil War.

Located at Exit 108, I-40, halfway between
Memphis and Nashville, the city is governed
by a three member commission:

Mayor Kenneth Kizer, Vice-Mayor Jamie Simonton,
and Commissioner Johnny Simonton.

There are no property taxes and no service fees.
The city was incorporated on June 2, 1981.

Fire protection is provided by the
Henderson County Fire Dept., Station 3.

Headquarters for the Tourism Association of Southwest
 Tennessee is located in an authentic pre-civil war log
cabin on the site of the Battle of Parker's Crossroads.

Parker's Crossroads also boasts of their city park, with
spacious meeting facilities for family reunions and other
 special events. Available for the public enjoyment is a walk
track, softball and baseball fields, a children's playground,
horse arena, and many picnic areas.... under the shade of
 trees or pavilions. The park is also known as the site of many
 annual events including an Antique Car show, the October
 Possum Festival, and the Ruritan Racking Horse Show.
