PCBA Meeting Notice
The Parker's Crossroads Battlefield Association will hold
their next meeting on May 15, 2008 at Bailey's Restaurant
in Parker's Crossroads.
The private dining room is reserved for
6 p.m. for those wishing to dine prior to the 7 p.m. meeting. 
The public is welcome to attend.

JUNE 14 & 15, 2008

Come join the excitement at the
Nathan Bedford Forrest Great Escape Living History Event
on June 14th and 15th, 2008 at Parker's Crossroads Battlefield Park!

This event will feature mid-nineteenth century civilian life and military
demonstrations from the 1862 Civil War era. Watch history unfold as
General Forrest employs tactics such as "Charge 'em both ways" as
demonstrated by military living history interpreters. Observe first hand
the hardships of civilians in war torn West Tennessee. Live demonstrations
will be scheduled throughout the weekend which will offer fun entertainment
and education for the whole family. So come take a step back in time
and experience all the sights and sounds of a working home place, military
camps, and other educational exhibits at the first annual
Nathan Bedford Forrest Great Escape.

Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield Association
4th Battleground Golf Tournament
was held April 28, 2007!

The Parkers Crossroads Battlefield Association and the
City of Parkers Crossroads sponsored their fourth
Battleground Golf Tournament, Saturday, April 28, 2007. 
The four man scramble was held at the Falcon Ridge Golf Club.

In the "Official Records" Colonel G. G. Dibrell stated:
"We had no protection but the top of the hill, while
the enemy was sheltered by woods and a fence.
Construction of the split rail fence began on June 8th 2005
and was completed in October 2005.
